Can I get very personal and transparent with you for a minute?
In 2004, I lost my mom to breast cancer. She was the young age of 41. She went through 3 rounds of chemo and radiation before giving up on her life. I watched her pick out her casket, plan her funeral and held her hand as she took her last breaths. That moment alone and the helplessness I felt surrounding her illness has haunted me my entire adult life.
At the age of 35, I went on a quest to find out how I could prevent myself from having the same fate. After studying holistic nutrition and hormones, I found my answer. Estrogen balance.
Exposure to hormone disrupters found in red meats and dairy, toxins in our beauty, hair and household products, hormonal birth control, plastics and other environmental factors are throwing our hormones out of wack. These xenoestrogens are causing an increase in excess estrogen in our body which puts us at high risk of developing conditions such as fibroids and breast cancer every single day.
Symptoms of estrogen dominance include heavy periods, cramping, bloating, mood swings, breast tenderness, headaches, brain fog, weight gain and low libido.

And I couldn't feel any more purposed. I know I am making my mom proud while ensuring that others don't have to go through what she went through.
In September 2023, I surpassed the lives of both of my parents. I have no living grandparents. I also have not been diagnosed with any of the long list of life-threatening illnesses that run in my family. What I know for sure is that by educating ourselves and turning to holistic measures to optimize our health, we can break generational health curses that run in our family history. I want this for all of us!

I used to bleed so heavy during my period that I'd go through an ultra tampon and nighttime pad within 45 minutes. I tried 2 different birth controls, an in-office procedure and the doctors even put me on a Lupron shot that was supposed to send my body into menopause. Unfortunately, my heavy periods continued to the point where I ended up in the ER, needing a blood transfusion.
